Fall 2023
Fall of 2023 was full of fun, beauty, and surprises. It was the first year Elsa entered the Ephrata fair fir a drawing competition. She won 1st place in her division. We were also wrangled into a “free” vacation while walking through Cabella’s. We enjoyed it… it definitely wasn’t free, but nothing ever is. We Read more

Summer 2023 – Home and Harvest
It was a beautiful and extremely productive Summer. We planned throughout the winter what we wanted to plant, things we wanted to accomplish, and while not everything went according to plan (as usual in life) we learned many lessons and enjoyed (almost) every second. We try to remind ourselves in the crazy moments that these Read more

The Missing Bunny
It all started with me waking up and looking out the kitchen window only to realize one of our bunnies Sally II had gotten loose. Melanie Barker
Welcome to my little corner of the web. I created this blog as way to put down my thoughts, sweet memories, and some of our favorite recipes. The older my children get, the more I realize what a precious gift this life is and I don’t want to forget a thing. Life isn’t perfect, but beauty is a gift and all around us if we look for it. I’m a mom of 4 who enjoys homemaking, homeschooling, baking bread, embroidery… and pretty much any creative work I can do with my hands. I am married to a sweet, humble, devoted man, who inspires me everyday. Most importantly, I serve a Risen Savior who I will forever be grateful to.
“Because thy lovingkindness is better than life,
my lips shall praise thee.
Thus will I bless thee while I live…”
Psalm 63:3-4
